Project Description

Replacement of major mechanical and electrical systems in the Immigration Museum and several other buildings at Ellis Island, which is part of the Statue of Liberty National Monument. The systems had been inundated by water during Hurricane Sandy, and the project scope included raising the new mechanical equipment onto platforms and relocating electrical equipment from the basement to higher floors. Temporary heating and cooling systems were provided for the comfort of park personnel and visitors during construction. Also provided was a Digital Direct Control System, updated fire alarm devices and minor architectural upgrades.
