This project consisted of the reconstruction of MD 5 (Branch Avenue) for 0.5 miles and improvements to 1.0 mile of Prince George’s County roadways connecting MD 5, Access Road, and the Metro Station. Included were construction of a four-lane roadway (Woods Way) with sidewalks; the reconstruction, lowering, widening, resurfacing, and turn lanes of MD 5; two steel bridges; five retaining walls; widening, resurfacing, turn lanes, sidewalks and bus pads along Auth Road; stormwater management ponds; drainage systems; traffic signals; lighting; signage and structures; pavement markings; utility relocations; and grading and landscaping.
