Project Description

The original scope of work consisted of the remodel of an existing and operating Navy Federal Credit Union branch. Work was divided into four phases and was carefully sequenced to ensure that credit union operations were functional throughout the entire construction period, and access to restrooms was provided at all times. A temporary teller line, constructed at the project commencement, assured the financial needs of servicemen were never inconvenienced.

Owner-initiated change orders were added to the original scope of work, which included re-painting of all existing wood doors, trims and millwork. Working with its painting subcontractor, Black suggested low VOC paints to assure a safe environment for the staff and customers. Additional changes included cabinets and millwork, replacement of existing exhaust fans, and installation of surveillance camera enclosures, power and data outlets.
