Project Description

Constructed in two phases, the 14-building campus contains 1,085,000 square feet of office space. Phase I included the restoration of four core historic buildings near the campus main entrance from the Agnews Developmental Center that previously occupied the site, six two- and three-story buildings, including a fitness center, and the demolition of other buildings. The completed facility is Sun Microsystems’ research and development campus. The interiors are mostly large computer labs for software and hardware designers. Phase II of Sun Microsystems’ Santa Clara Campus development is comprised of four buildings totaling 410,000 square feet to accommodate 1,500 employees and emulates the center’s original whitewashed Spanish Mission style. The campus accommodates 3,700 employees at full buildout.
