A 31-story, 986-room facility surrounded by a structural steel-framed, 80-foot-tall podium that includes over 80,000 square feet of meeting space and ballrooms, a fitness center, outdoor function space, pool, and a two-story underground parking structure for 550 vehicles. The hotel provides a pedestrian urban environment in Phoenix, and at the time of construction, it was the tallest hotel in the state of Arizona. As CMAR, our project team was an integral and proactive participant in the design of the facility from schematic design through design development, as well as construction documents. To maintain Sheraton's aggressive schedule, concrete and crane operations were self-performed at an accelerated pace. Precision planning and the pace of the concrete construction allowed turnover of the building five weeks early.
