Project Description
Renovation of the first floor of the United States Customs House, converting it into a museum and tenant space. The museum houses the largest freestanding museum in the U.S. devoted to the 900,000+ known species of insects and their relatives. The Audubon Insectarium is an encounter with nature like no other and includes thousands of live insects, mounted specimens, interactive experiences, and engaging exhibit interpreters. This museum is part of the Audubon Nature Institute’s family of museums and parks dedicated to nature.
