Perini Management Services, Inc. was the prime contractor for the first phase of an anticipated multi-phase repair and renovation of the USAF Academy Cadet Fieldhouse. The Phase One project included extensive mechanical repairs primarily located on the Participant Level and Multi-Purpose Level mechanical rooms of the Fieldhouse. It also included installation of a cascading type geothermal heating and cooling system under a parking lot. The Cadet Fieldhouse remained occupied and operational for sporting events, practices, and special events during construction. The project schedule had been carefully developed to execute work in phases, taking into consideration the various sports seasons, to minimize any impacts on athletes and fans.
