Project Description

The ten-story, 1,200,000-square-foot retail podium core and shell consists of large structural steel framing, concrete on metal decking, masonry, metal framing, metal and glass exterior enclosure and all the interior mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire sprinkler infrastructure. The steel mechanical overbuild on top of the building houses the cogeneration facility. The podium connects to two office towers, 10 Hudson Yards and 30 Hudson Yards. The retail podium is supported on the platform structure, which contains transfer structural systems to clear the Long Island Rail Road rail yards below, as well as existing utilities and equipment and LIRR facilities.
