This portion of the East Side Access project is for the construction of a storage yard facility for commuter railcars. The work will be performed primarily within the Sunnyside Yard and Harold Interlocking area in Queens, New York, and will include track beds and access roads, over 100 utility structures, nine miles of track, 61,000 linear feet of mechanical piping, 552,000 linear feet of conduit, 1,039,000 linear feet of wire and cable, 86 switches, three traction power substations, 256 poles, and personnel access bridge.
